CILEx Law School offers a number of apprenticeship options. The roles you apply for will determine which apprenticeship programme and pathway you will complete.

The Level 3 business administration programme is for new or current members of staff who have some prior experience in a business or administration role.

  • Duration: 18 months
  • Cost: None to the apprentice
  • Salary: Yes, at least apprenticeship national minimum wage
  • Entry requirements: 5 GCSE grades A* to C or 9-4 or equivalent are essential, specifically Maths and English as well as 3 A-levels grade C or above
  • Progression upon successful completion: Paralegal Apprenticeship

A Level standard programme delivering paralegal competence in a legal practice area.

  • Duration: 24–30 months
  • Cost: None to the apprentice
  • Salary: Yes, at least apprenticeship national minimum wage
  • Qualification: You will have some exemptions towards the CILEX Professional Qualification Foundation stage
  • Entry requirements: 5 GCSE grades A* to C or 9-4 or equivalent are essential, specifically Maths and English as well as 3 A-levels grade C or above
  • Progression upon successful completion: CILEX Professional Qualification Foundation stage (with exemptions)

This progression option is open to CILEx students who have achieved the CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law & Practice and law graduates.

  • Duration: Up to 5 years
  • Cost: None to the apprentice
  • Salary: Yes, at least apprenticeship national minimum wage
  • Qualification: Chartered Legal Executive Fellowship
  • Entry requirements: 5 GCSE grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, specifically Maths and English and three A-levels grade C or above
  • Progression upon successful completion: Not required. You will be a fully qualified Chartered Legal Executive lawyer upon successful completion
