Leading national law firm Bond Dickinson is to employ a further three school leavers as legal apprentices in its Plymouth office. The apprentices will be recruited from the local area and will follow the Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, with CILEx Law School. They will start in September to join the firm’s on shore team.
This announcement follows the recruitment of three apprentices to the firm’s Plymouth office in 2014.
Craig Moore, Finance and Investment Partner at Bond Dickinson and Head of the Plymouth office, said: “Our first three legal apprentices have fitted in extremely well and are each contributing very successfully to the work of their teams. Their experiences at work are being continuously underpinned by the knowledge and skills they are gaining through the units taught by CILEx Law School, and their confidence and technical ability have both really flourished during the short period they have been with us.”
Jenny Pelling, Business Director, CILEx Law School, said: “Bond Dickinson’s decision to take on a second cohort of apprentices shows that they have found the apprenticeship route to be a great option for staff recruitment and training. There is no doubt that apprenticeships are now finding real traction within the legal profession.”
