CILEx Law School student Heidi Shearman has won a £5,000 bursary to fund her ILEX Level 6 studies from the P&G Champion Mums’ Foundation. Heidi received the award having entered a competition in Woman magazine for mums who wanted help in ‘making their dreams come true’.
A delighted Heidi told us:
“I saw the advert for the bursary in Woman magazine a few months ago. It was for mums to apply for a share of a £150,000 bursary, to help themselves or others. I initially applied just for the course fees to complete Level 6, but was then contacted to say that my prize, if I won, was up to £5,000 so I could add anything else I might need. I added two further units and a laptop, as my computer is 6 years old and very slow!
I am thrilled to have won this award, as to pay for the Level 6 courses would have been quite a hardship in these tough financial times. I am also currently getting divorced which is going to bring new money worries, so to win this really is fantastic news.
It is possible I will be in Woman or other magazines. If so, I will of course mention how good ILEX is if I get the opportunity, as I very much enjoy my studies and the career prospects it is giving me.”
Congratulatons go to Heidi from all at CILEx Law School, and good luck for her Level 6 studies.
