Carillion Advice Services (CAS) which is part of Carillion plc, one of the UK’s leading integrated support services companies, is launching a legal apprenticeship programme, with the recruitment of four paralegal apprentices in its Newcastle office. The apprentices, due to start in September 2016, will support the delivery of CAS’ managed legal services offering.
The launch of this legal apprenticeship programme comes as the company received the award for best In-House Legal Department Innovation at the Legal Week Innovation Awards 2016 last month.
Richard Tapp, Director of Legal Services at Carillion said: ”These apprentices will become an integral part of our team and make a valuable contribution to our legal services offering. Working with our selected partners, CILEx Law School, we are in no doubt that our programme will provide an excellent foundation for a legal career with us, successfully supporting our sustainability aims and the growth of our business.”
Nicola Goodman, Learning and Development Manager at CILEx Law School, said: “Carillion is committed to the success of its apprenticeship programme, even co-hosting an apprenticeship information event in Newcastle with us recently. CILEx Law School looks forward to supporting Carillion in the development of a thriving programme and readily encourages local young people to apply for this fantastic opportunity.”
Vacancies close on 8 July 2016.
