CILEx Law School client DWF has been awarded CILEx’s Employer of the Year award for 2011. The award was presented by CILEx Law School’s Managing Director, Noel Inge, and Business Director Jenny Pelling at the CILEx Graduation Ceremony held at Bedford Corn Exchange on 23 April 2012. The award was accepted by Sam Morrow from DWF’s Learning and Development Team.
Accepting the prize, Sam said “We are delighted that DWF has been recognised for its investment in the paralegal talent within the firm through the Paralegal Academy. The news of the award was welcomed by our Managing Partner, Andrew Leaitherland, and many of the partners and paralegal champions.
We appreciate the working partnership we have developed with CILEx Law School, which has been a major factor in the continuing career development for many of our apprentices and junior paralegals.”
Noel Inge, CILEx Law School’s Managing Director, said “It is good to see the CILEx qualifications being incorporated so effectively into a firm’s development programme. I congratulate DWF in their commitment to developing their paralegal staff through these programmes, and am pleased that they are reaping the rewards in their staff’s performance.”
DWF’s prize won the award in recognition of the firm’s reliance upon CILEx as part of its strategy for growth. As part of that, the DWF Paralegal Academy was started in 2011. Under this initiative 17 junior members of staff were enrolled on Level 3 CILEx courses with CILEx Law School, under a contract which combines CILEx Law School’s distance learning courses with an additional programme of in-house tuition provided by CILEx Law School’s Learning and Development Advisor for the north-west Nicola Goodman.
As well as receiving the Employer of the Year Award, DWF were represented in the Graduation Ceremony by Louise Boshell and Alexandra Bridges whose qualification as Chartered Legal Executives was also celebrated yesterday.
Other CILEx Law School clients who were highly commended by CILEx in the Employer of the Year awards are Irwin Mitchell, Minster Law, Pepperells, Raworths and Shoosmiths.
