CILEx Law School exam results outperform the market once again

The results for the CILEx June exam session released today show another excellent performance by CILEx Law School’s students. At Level 3 the overall pass rate was 83%, compared with 69% for CILEx overall. At Level 6 the figures are 76% for CILEx Law School and 61% for CILEx.

Angela Merryweather, who works as a paralegal in the Commercial Real Estate department at Nabarro LLP, completed her CILEx Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice. She said: “Since I started the course I have been given increasing responsibility and have the opportunity to work on and assist with a wide variety of matters from asset management for landlords to investment and development. Successfully passing my CILEx Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice means that CILEx Fellowship is in sight and I am hoping to progress my career even further and have the opportunity to practise as a Chartered Legal Executive within Real Estate.
I have enjoyed studying with CILEx Law School and I have been fortunate enough to pass each of my exams first time which I do not think would have been possible without the Law School’s revision aids. My fiancé keeping me fed and watered in the weeks leading up to each exam also helped!”

Aaron Thompson studied for the CILEx Graduate Fast-track Diploma with CILEx Law School following a law degree atNottingham Trent University. He commented: “The GFTD appealed to me when it became apparent that a “traditional” Legal Practice Course would be too much for me to finance on my own. I work as a paralegal in the property department in a local firm in my home town, and my studies have been part-sponsored by my employer, Hayes & Storr Solicitors, who pay for the course materials whilst I cover the registration and exam fees. The CILEx qualification has proved to be a very accessible alternative to the LPC.”

Sam Froud, who achieved his CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice, by passing his final exam with distinction said: “I have two young children (just turned 2 and 5 months) which is challenging, especially with a demanding full time job, but I fit in studying in the evenings and weekends mostly and the CILEx Law School course is flexible. The study manuals are informative and helpful and the forums are also a good way of clarifying queries, as are the staff at CILEx Law School, who are happy to answer the phone. Now that I have passed my CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice I intend to continue and hope to achieve the CILEx Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice.”

Kim Morrison, Academic Director at CILEx Law School, said: “We strive to give our students the best chance of success by developing their knowledge and understanding through a wide range of course resources combined with personalised feedback on performance. We are delighted that the hard work that we have witnessed our students put into their studies has translated into such good results in the June 2015 exam session.”
