European law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse is launching Step2Success, a school leaver programme for post A level students.
Six high calibre recruits will be given the opportunity to embark upon a legal career at Field Fisher Waterhouse without first having a degree. Chosen school leavers can qualify as lawyers through the Chartered Legal Executive route within five years of commencing the programme.
Once recruits have joined Field Fisher Waterhouse they will undertake a bespoke programme of induction into the firm. Students will receive supervision, training and support in the office, including in house tutorials, as well as through their studies. They will enrol with CILEx Law School and commence their CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice shortly after starting work.
Field Fisher Waterhouse Managing Partner, Michael Chissick, said:
“The increasing cost of going to university has stopped some young people from pursuing their career of choice. This programme will help to ensure bright, talented aspiring lawyers, still have the chance to achieve their goals. This initiative will run alongside our graduate trainee programme where we will continue to recruit up to 15 trainees.”
Jenny Pelling, Business Director of CILEx Law School, said:
“This is a landmark programme for a City law firm, and we’re delighted to be creating an in-house academy for their new CILEx recruits.”
The first intake will commence employment in autumn 2013. Interested applicants should contact Amelia Spinks at firstname.lastname@example.org
