Luke Dodds, a Legal Assistant in the Cardiff office of global law firm Eversheds LLP, has been awarded ILEX Tutorial College’s Student of the Year for the South Wales region. The presentation took place at the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) Annual Ball for the South Wales branch held at St David’s Hotel and Spa, Cardiff on Saturday 2 March 2013.
Luke started studying with ILEX Tutorial College for his CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice in June 2011. He has taken exams/assessments in the ten Level 3 Diploma units in three exams sittings If he is successful in the three final exams which he sat in January 2013, he will have achieved the full Diploma in a very short time. Most students would expect to achieve the Professional Diploma over two full academic years.

Luke works full-time as a Legal Assistant in the Financial Services and Disputes Resolution practice group in Eversheds’ Cardiff office, and is sponsored by his employer. After studying for a degree in Business from the University of Wales in Cardiff he travelled for a while and lived in Dubai before returning to Wales and being taken on by Eversheds in 2010.
