ITC set to become CILEx Law School

ILEX Tutorial College is changing its name to CILEx Law School. The need to make the switch originated from the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) becoming the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) following the award of a Royal Charter during 2012. ILEX Tutorial College is wholly owned by CILEx.

Unlike many further and higher education providers, CILEx Law School specialises in law and legal practice, and the new name confirms this specialist role. There is no change in corporate identity, with all directors, staff and business activities remaining as they were.

Noel Inge, Managing Director of ILEX Tutorial College said: “I am pleased to be bringing our name into line with the Chartered Institute by adopting the CILEx acronym. The change comes at an exciting milestone for our institution, as we celebrate 30 years of delivering specialist legal training by distance learning this year. The new name reflects the specialist nature of our business and the professional approach to our course delivery very well, and we look forward to continuing to provide excellent service to our students under the new branding.”

The name will officially switch on Monday 25th March 2013. It will take some time to implement the name change across all aspects of the business. Academic materials will adopt the new branding as new editions are issued over the coming months.
