The first day of National Apprenticeship Week showcased just how much opportunity there is for young people who are considering the non-graduate route into the legal profession.
Our clients Irwin Mitchell launched their recruitment campaign for Paralegal Apprentices to be based in Birmingham, London and Sheffield and for Business Administration Apprentices to be based in London and Sheffield. The apprenticeship programme is well established within Irwin Mitchell and the eight successful candidates will join a large cohort of apprentices already employed at the firm.
Gowling WLG is celebrating the success of the firm’s legal and business services apprenticeships during National Apprenticeship Week. In September 2017 they took on 19 Paralegal Apprentices, building on the success of a pilot scheme, and we are releasing interviews with five of the new intake of apprentices and with Lucy Dolan, the firm’s Early Talent Manager, in the course of National Apprenticeship Week.
Horwich Farrelly is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week too and we’ll be issuing videos from three of their apprentices and Rita McGucken, their Director of Learning and Development over the course of the week.
Our Apprenticeship Team have been busy around the country, attending the National Apprenticeship Show for London and the South East in Sandown Park yesterday and today and the Leeds Recruitment Fair yesterday to speak to young people about legal apprenticeship vacancies being offered by our client organisations. Meantime our Director of Business and Apprenticeships attended a Law Society event aimed at employers who want to learn more about apprenticeships.
