National conveyancing firm bpl, based in Dorchester, is recruiting a number of legal apprentices to join the successful staff members who have already taken advantage of apprenticeship pathways in the firm.
Designed to help springboard apprentices into a successful career in the legal world, the Legal Administration Apprenticeship offers school leavers the opportunity to join bpl as a Trainee Legal Administrator. Successful applicants will learn the skills needed to work in a legal environment within a national conveyancing firm.
Donna Fraser, FCILEx and Conveyancing Manager at the firm said: “The Legal Administration Apprentices will learn a lot – through interesting work, close client contact and a supportive and friendly team. The firm has already run a very successful business administration apprenticeship for a number of years, and we expect the new Legal Administration Apprenticeship to be an equally successful pathway to a fulfilling career with us.”
The training will be delivered by CILEx Law School (CLS) and Vision Apprentices. starting with an in-house induction followed by a 13-week programme on the legal environment with a day’s teaching and short activities to be submitted for marking and feedback. Aside from their studies, a structured in-house training programme will teach the apprentices everything from how to use the photocopier to opening new client accounts. Successful apprentices will be able to progress to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, which is also being offered as an entry point for September 2013.
Jenny Pelling, Business Director of CLS, said “It’s an excellent apprenticeship offer, which provides local opportunities and clear business benefits for bpl.”
