Oldham Council is launching a recruitment campaign for two apprentices to join its in-house legal team as part of its Get Oldham Working campaign.
One apprentice will be recruited for the local authority’s Property Team and will follow the property pathway of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services, which offers training in land law, contract and conveyancing.
The other apprentice will join the Civil Litigation Team and will lead down the debt recovery and insolvency pathway of the Higher Apprenticeship in Legal Services which covers contract law, personal and corporate insolvency.
The apprenticeship training will be delivered by CILEx Law School and the recruitment will be carried out by the Get Oldham Working team.
Nicola Goodman, CILEx Law School Learning and Development Manager, said: “It is good to see employers like Oldham Council taking advantage of these legal apprenticeship schemes to recruit local young talent and give them job opportunities. I look forward to teaching the two recruits when they join the Council in September.”
