The results of the ILEX Level 3 exam session in June 2009 for the new unitised qualification show an excellent result by CILEx Law School’s students. The pass rate achieved in the examined units (Units 1 to 15) was 84% overall, with students achieving passes, merits or distinctions in 593 out of 692 papers taken.
Additionally, a further 371 passes were achieved in the new Level 3 skills units – Client Care Skills and Legal Research Skills – which were introduced in 2008 as part of the qualification re-launch. These units are assessed by coursework..
In the penultimate exam sitting of the ‘old’ Level 3 and Level 6 qualifications, passes were achieved in 1,443 papers, resulting in many students successfully achieving the final subjects required to complete their Level 3 or Level 6 stage of training. The final opportunity to sit exams for the outgoing subjects is in October 2009, but transitional arrangements are in place for those students who need to complete their qualification using new units.
Overall, CILEx Law School achieved over 2,400 passes in the June 2009 sessions. Congratulations to everyone who helped to achieve these terrific results.
