CPQ is a key part of CILEX’s vision to transform the legal sector, broadening access to legal careers and elevating the status of practicing legal specialists.

While traditional routes focus on academic qualifications, the CILEX CPQ route combines technical excellence with practical skills and work-based learning, delivering legal professionals at all levels who are ready and able to make a difference in your business and to your clients.

Built in consultation with employers like you, CPQ is a three-stage framework – Foundation, Advanced and Professional – that allows trainees to learn while they continue to work, bringing new skills and behaviours to their roles and taking their professional development as far as they want or need to.

CPQ allows trainees to begin to specialise early, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge that are most directly relevant to your business while still developing a broad foundation in law. As they progress through the stages, they can specialise further. Trainees on CPQ can use professional designations equivalent to their stage of qualification: CILEX Paralegal, CILEX Advanced Paralegal and CILEX Lawyer. CILEX Lawyers can also gain practice rights in a range of legal specialisms, allowing them to practice independently and add even greater value.
